Old to New Fashion: the crop top

Lately, I've been into not only thrifting and finding used clothing, but also using old clothes to make something new and fresh. I love DIY projects, and so I decided to take on the challenge of making a fashionable top out of an old floral dress that I bought 2 or 3 years ago.

what's in my MAC palette: Review and Swatches

top row: Ricepaper, Patina, Haux, Sumptuous Olive, Style Snob
middle row: Saddle, All That Glitters, Expensive Pink, Of Summer, Satin Taupe
bottom row: Mulch, Sable, Star Violet, Fig. 1, Night Manoeuvres

So for my first post, I thought I'd do an easy one and review/swatch the eyeshadows I have in my MAC palette! I collected single MAC eyeshadows for a long time, over a span of more than two years, but with college approaching, I decided to invest in one of the brand's Pro palettes for travel. I never intended to get so many as to fill a whole palette but MAC is one of those brands that keeps tempting you to come back for more!

The single potted eyeshadows that you can get from any counter or store retail for $15.00 now, while the refill pan eyeshadows go for $12.00, though these can only be purchased at Pro stores. In this palette, I have 12 eyeshadows from the permanent line and 3 that are discontinued, limited edition shades.

Ricepaper (frost finish)--
Ricepaper is soft, yellow-toned eyeshadow that I like to use as an inner corner highlight. This would look fantastic as a subtle, all over lid color for someone paler than myself but I like it as a highlight for this same reason--it's subtle. It is not overly frosty, though the texture is not as soft or pigmented as most MAC frost eyeshadows.

Hi there,
My name is Cathy, and this is my new blog that I will be dedicating to fashion, beauty, and just all the fun, wonderful aspects of my life! I first discovered that sort of "fashion/beauty community" on YouTube almost three years ago and have been addicted since. I just recently have started getting into the blogging world and thought that now is the perfect time to launch my own. I hope you all enjoy this humble little blog, and expect exciting things to come!

Too excited for words,
Cathy
